Fictional World Library welcomes original stories with compelling characters, meaningful conflict and worlds readers want to return to.
STORY
HERE
Short stories
12–25 chapters, with 600–1,000 words per chapter. At least five completed chapters are required to apply.
Long stories
30–60 chapters, with 600–1,000 words per chapter. At least ten completed chapters are required to apply.
Review process
Standard review takes 3–7 working days. Acceptance is not guaranteed and may require revisions.
1. General writing standards
Stories must be original, readable, properly structured and edited for grammar, spelling, punctuation and clarity. Characters, timelines, settings and plot development should remain consistent. Writers are responsible for completing their stories according to the agreed chapter count and deadlines.
Submitting the minimum number of chapters does not guarantee acceptance. Fictional World Library may request revisions or decline a manuscript that does not meet its publishing standards.
2. Application and review
- Prepare the required completed chapters and story information.
- Submit your title, pen name, genre, synopsis, manuscript or sample chapters, and contact details.
- Allow 3–7 working days for review, Monday to Friday. Additional revisions may affect timing.
- If accepted, read the proposed contract carefully, including rights, deadlines and payment terms.
- Begin publishing after the contract is signed and the required arrangements are completed.
3. Exclusive contract
An exclusive agreement grants Fictional World Library exclusive publishing rights to the contracted story for the period and under the conditions specified in the signed contract. The standard exclusive term is 10 years, subject to the final agreement.
Signing and completion bonuses
Bonuses are subject to contract approval, eligibility and completion requirements. The signed contract controls where its terms differ from this summary.
4. Non-exclusive contract
Non-exclusive authors retain the ability to publish their stories elsewhere, provided they have the necessary rights and do not breach another platform's exclusive agreement. The standard revenue share is 60%, subject to the signed contract.
Milestone rewards
Meeting only the chapter target or only the revenue target does not automatically qualify an author for the milestone reward.
5. Deadlines and communication
- Short stories: remaining chapters are due within two weeks after signing, unless another schedule is agreed in writing.
- Long stories: remaining chapters are due within four to five weeks after signing, unless another schedule is agreed in writing.
- Ongoing updates must follow the schedule in the contract.
- If illness, an emergency or another genuine difficulty affects your deadline, contact the team early. Extensions require written approval.
- Plagiarism, rights violations, missed obligations or other contract breaches may lead to review, suspension of rewards or other action permitted by the contract and applicable law.
6. Payments and withdrawals
Author payments are scheduled for the 25th of each month for eligible earnings from the previous month. The minimum withdrawal is $50.
- Naira payments: an eligible Nigerian bank account in the author's name.
- Dollar payments: an eligible Grey or Raenest account or supported payment tag.
Payment timing may be affected by verification, incorrect payment details, banking restrictions or provider issues. Authors must keep payment details accurate and never share passwords, banking PINs or one-time passwords.
7. Apply by email
Prepare your full name, pen name, story title, genre, synopsis, sample chapters or manuscript link, published-work links if applicable, and contact email.

Review the complete contract before signing. The final signed agreement takes precedence over this general guidance.
About Fictional World Library
Welcome to Fictional World Library
Every great story opens a door. Sometimes it leads to a world of dangerous secrets, impossible love, supernatural bonds or powerful families. Sometimes it takes readers into a life completely different from their own. Fictional World Library exists for readers who want to open that door and discover what waits on the other side.
Fictional World Library is a digital fiction-reading destination designed to bring engaging stories and curious readers together. Our goal is to create a welcoming place where people can discover new books, follow characters through complicated journeys and find stories that stay with them long after the final chapter.
Our mission
Our mission is to make discovering and enjoying fiction straightforward, engaging and accessible. We want readers to spend less time searching for their next favourite story and more time immersed in the worlds they love. We also aim to provide writers with an opportunity to present their original work to readers and develop their publishing journey.
We believe fiction can entertain, surprise, comfort and challenge people. A good story can make an ordinary evening unforgettable, introduce a reader to a new perspective or create the excitement of waiting for the next chapter.
What you can discover here
Fictional World Library is built around a range of fiction genres and reading interests. Readers can explore romance, werewolf fiction, mafia drama, billionaire stories, vampire fiction, paranormal adventures, LGBTQ+ stories and Christian romance, with the library continuing to grow as more stories become available.
Whether you enjoy a slow-burn romance, a tense supernatural mystery, a complicated family rivalry or a dramatic love story, our aim is to help you find something that matches your mood. Readers can browse available books, save favourites and follow their reading progress where those features are supported.
Supporting writers
Writers are an essential part of a fiction community. Fictional World Library aims to provide a clear author submission process, publishing guidelines and contract information so writers can understand the expectations before submitting a manuscript.
We encourage original work, thoughtful storytelling, consistent character development and responsible communication. Every submission may be reviewed for suitability, and acceptance depends on the applicable publishing requirements and agreement.
Our commitment to readers
We aim to present book information, chapter access, coin packages and membership benefits clearly. Where paid features are offered, readers should be able to review the displayed price and relevant conditions before making a purchase. Features that require account authentication, payment processing or other external services depend on those systems being properly configured and available.
We also recognise the importance of protecting account information and explaining how information is handled. Our Privacy Policy describes the intended approach, but it must always match the actual systems and services used by the website.
Join the journey
Fictional World Library is being developed with a love of storytelling and the belief that every reader deserves a world they can get lost in. As the library grows, we hope to bring together readers who enjoy discovering new stories and writers who are ready to share their imagination.
